[ Introduction ] Outline ] Objectives ] Summary ] Procedure ] Results/Discussion ] Conclusions ] Recommendations ] Theory ] Grading Sheet ]

The total time for the oral presentation is 15 minutes. Given this short time, the presentation should focus on the most important results and any important aspects of them, the conclusions reached from them, and a recommendation for the next course of action.

The first visual of the presentation should be a title slide. At the minimum it should include a descriptive title for the presentation, the names of all the members of the group, and the date. Remember, you are playing let's pretend, and your title should reflect the pretend situation. That is, it should not be something like "Bubble Cap Experiment."

The remainder of the Introduction should give a general overview of where this project fits into the company's business plan(s). That is, it should give the "big picture" within which this presentation fits. It provides the context for all that will be presented.

If possible, try to include some "real world" information here. (How is this typically done in a real commercial plant?, What is the annual worldwide production of this chemical?, Who are the major manufacturers of this product (i.e. the company's competition)?)

Including the title slide, this section would normally consist of 2 to 3 visuals.
