Step1

Start Dynamic Designer 

Click Motion on the pull-down  menu.

Step 2

Add New Part 

Set automatically add new parts to grounded or moving part.

Click on Yes button.

Step 3

Create joint

Create a fixed joint between the Crosshead Slot & the Piston_ConRod.

Step 4

Insert Joints 

Click on the Insert Fixed Joint button.

Step 5

Select Moving Part

Click on Crosshead Slot part.

Step 6

Select reference part

Click on Piston_ConRod to which the Crosshead Slot is fixed.

Step 7

Select Joint Location

Click on any face near the joint on the Crosshead Slot part.

Step 8

Select Joint Direction

Click around the same location to specify the joint direction.

Step 9

Apply Force on the Piston_ConRodPart

Click on the Insert Action Only force button.

Step 10

Select Component to which force is applied

Click on the Piston_ConRod part.
