Step 11

Select the Aligning Face on the Main Enclosure part

In the Assembly window, select the Lower Face of the Slot on the Main Enclosure.

Step 12

Finishing aligning the two Enclosures

On the Place SmartStep ribbon bar, click OK

Rotate the Small Enclosure so that it faces the bigger enclosure

   On the Left Side of the Solid Edge window there's a tool bar which has the Move Part Button.

Click on the Button.

Step 14

Select the part to be moved

Click on the Small Enclosure

Step 15

Select Rotational type movement

On the toolbar (which appears in place of the smart-step ribbon bar) click on the rotation symbol.

Step 16

Select Part Axis along which it is to be rotated

Select the Vertical (Y) axis of the Small Enclosure.

Step 16

Click on the Axis & drag the mouse till the two Enclosures face each other

as shown above

Step 17

Select Linear type movement

On the toolbar (which appears in place of the smart-step ribbon bar) click on the linear motion symbol.

Step 18

Select Part Axis along which it is to be translated

Select the X axis of the Small Enclosure (as shown above).

Step 19

Click on the Axis & drag the mouse till the two Enclosures face each other

as shown above

Step 20

Continue the mating process

Click on the mouse pointer button & then on the small enclosure. A toolbar will appear at the top.

Click on the Edit button to bring back the smart-step ribbon bar.
