Tangent the nozzle part to ground part

On the Place Part SmartStep ribbon bar, in the Relationship

Type list, click the Tangent button.

Select the surface of nozzle

Select the cylindrical surface of the nozzle, which we want

to make tangent with the face of the ground.

Step 13

Select the ground part to tangent in the assembly

In the assembly window, select the ground.

 Select the visible face of base part, as shown in the figure.

Give the offset value of 10 mm and click the ok button or

press enter to finish the tangent command

 Place the link part

 Again perform the axial align and tangent operations to align the link.

The aligned part should look as shown in figure above.

Move the assembly

On the Assembly commands toolbar, click on move part button.

Freeform Move

On the ribbon bar, select the free from move. Then select the part

link and try to drag it in the window. Solid Edge should move

the part where ever you drag it, but still obeying the constraints.

 Step 18

Assemble the crank

Now assemble the crank with the assembly. Perform two operations,

mate and axial align to complete the assembly of crank. The final

assembly should look as it appears in figure.

Step 19

Place the motor

After dragging the motor part in the assembly window, select the

face as shown in figure above. (By default, mate is selected)

Step 20

Finishing Aligning the Arm

Select the back face of the crank and click ok to finish mate.
