• Polyethers or polyesters

• Polyethers are of two basic types

  • tetrahydrofuran (THF) derived
    • eg. Terathane® polyether glycol
  • Propylene oxide derived
    • Polypropylene ether glycol (PPG)

• Advantages of both types

  • Resistance to moist environments
  • Low temperature flexibility

• Polyesters are resistant to oil and high temperature
