What is Terathane®?

• Terathane® polyester glycol is a polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG)

• HO(CH2CH2CH2CH2-O-)nH

  • e.g. Terathane® 1000 n averages 14 and Terathane® 2000 n averages 27

• Waxy white solid

• Melts to a clear colorless, viscous liquid

• Reacts with isocynate to form polyurethane

• Hydroxyl functionality
