Align the Crosshead Slot with the Follower

Rotate the entire assembly & the follower so that the assembly looks somewhat as above.

To rotate the assembly use the rotate model button as shown below:

To rotate the follower use the move part button (present on the left side of the Solid Edge window)

Mate the Crosshead Slot with the Follower

On the Place Part SmartStep ribbon bar, in the relation type list click on the Tangent button.

Select a face of the Crosshead Slot

Select the left inside face of the Crosshead Slot (as shown).

Select the part with which the Crosshead Slot will be aligned

 In the assembly window, select the Follower part.

Step 75

Select the Face on the Follower part which is to be made tangent

 In the Assembly window, select the cylinder on the upper part of the follower (as shown).

Step 76

Finishing Aligning the two parts

On the Place SmartStep ribbon bar, click OK

The assembly is now complete.
